Welcome to Pathways Counselling South Africa, you were meant to land on this site.
At Pathways Counselling South Africa I am available to you assist you on your uphill journey in climbing the mountain called LIFE.
We all are on the journey and there is a destination that we should be aiming for each day, and non of us were meant to walk the journey alone.
We all need purpose and meaning in life and perhaps that is what you are looking for? Maybe you are going through a trial by fire and need an experienced co-pilot to guide you to safety. You might just want what we all need most – someone to simply listen (without judging) – a safe space to unburden and unpack. Maybe you need someone to just listen to your pain. Perhaps you need help figuring things out. Whatever your need I am here to serve you in the most compassionate way possible.
Here at pathways counselling South Africa I assist you in navigating the journey, helping you find those sweet spots of rest, those safe places in which you can take stock and choose the best pathway forward in your journey to the destination of your dreams. Pathways counselling South Africa is about having a place where you can be held and heard. It’s about the strictest confidentiality. It’s all about you, where you are, how you are, and where you want to be. And all about helping you get there. It is a journey of self-discovery. I ask the kind of questions that help you find the answers you need. It is the beginning of learning to thrive. And it is the realisation of a level of healing and wholeness we can attain when we begin to make the changes we can.

I completed 120 hours of free counselling. I have my major in Psychology form the University of Pretoria. I am affiliated with The ASCHP, I have completed their board exam with distinction; My membership number is 10459. You can also find me on Psychology Today, I am listed there.
“Hello Emma,I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support you provided during our sessions. Your guidance and challenges, especially the simple yet profound breathing technique, have had a lasting impact on me. When anxiety creeps in, I remind myself to breathe in and out, and it truly helps calm my mind. Your words of wisdom and encouragement have been instrumental in my journey. Embracing my identity as a child of God and focusing on the blessings and love in my life has been transformative. I'm actively building a stronger, more resilient version of myself, and I'm grateful for the foundation you helped me lay.
With deepest gratitude, Nomsa❤️” 19th September 2025
I celebrate your achievement and am pleased to have been one of the beneficiaries of your prowess as a psychotherapist. Essentially, I commend you for not imposing your views on the areas that were of importance to me to engage with in therapy. I really enjoyed that because it clearly demonstrated to me that you are a present and listening therapist who doesn't employ a predetermined modus operandi. I found your approach to be emergent and careful. As such, it felt like we were trying to figure things out as and when they came-up. I've also enjoyed how you were non-discriminatory, for example of my firm belief in African spirituality and Christianity. Your non-discriminatory approach is beyond important.
I've gained a lot of inner peace, self-insight and clarity through your psychotherapeutic intervention and support because things kept getting better for me during our time.

Truly I have no words to express my appreciation for your wonderful service through my counseling journey with you, but I want you to know how deeply grateful I am. From the very first session, you created a space where I felt seen, heard, and safe to be my most vulnerable self. That alone has meant more to me than you may ever realize.
Thank you for the impact you’ve had on my life. Each session with you has been meaningful and safe, and I always leave with a deeper understanding of myself. Your professionalism, patience, and the way you truly listen has helped me grow and change in ways I didn’t think were possible.
Every session with you has been impactful in its own way. You guide with so much care, wisdom, and intention, and it shows how passionate and skilled you are at what you do. Your professionalism, consistency, and genuine presence through our video calls have helped me understand myself better and face things I once avoided. Each session leaves me feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful.
